Murder Mystery Play

Murder at the BIFTA's - David Jones (2009)
(12,728 words - including Dramatis Personae)
4 male characters; 4 female characters

It's the biggest West End event of the year!

It is the British Industrial Film & Television Award's (the BIFTA's). It is a star-studded evening that features the most famous stars, starlets and cameo role artistes from the world of film and T.V. There's no telling what a jealous actor or actress might do in order to get their hands on a BIFTA!

You get to mix with some of the greatest names in the industry; including Ned Sherry who is the CEO of PMT Studios and he is searching for his next big star; then you can meet the incredibly good looking, and youthful Marilyn Cod-Roe the Latino superstar and her mother in the guise of the doubtable Jocelyn Cod-Roe who believes her daughter has the makings of a worldwide superstar; or you may be fortunate enough to mingle with the established and respected Sir. John Feel-Good; Or perhaps you could meet the West-Enders star the bubbly Babs Sandringham; but will her jealous ex husband; who is now a soap star on the opposing channel's Jubilee Street; the one and only Ken Marlow, lift the BIFTA; or will the crime detective actor Peter Balk win a BIFTA for his performance as the TV and film detective 'Columbus'?

Your host for the evening is the unforgettable luscious (but ageing) Ulrika Erikson who has-been a part of the furniture at every BIFTA awards show.

But this awards ceremony is an evening that some may wish to forget. Backstage there's plenty of jealousy, greed, and backstabbing going on. Will Babs finally get an award or will her ex-husband beat her to it? Will Ned discover his next big star on the 'casting couch'?

This play is written by a brand new author, but it is well reviewed thus far. It is also a longer play than some of the other plays that we sell here and it requires a strong and confident cast.

Please note that the quiz for this play uses some of the same questions as some of the other plays sold here (as we are ruinning out of questions to ask) We aim to produce a brand new quiz shortly.
